Spring Break 2006

We had a great time in Branson last week. The weather was perfect. We started our week with some shopping in downtown Branson when we arrived on Monday before checking in to the Big Cedar Wilderness Club - what a gorgeous place! We enjoyed the miniature golf course and paddle baoting on the lake and the kids couldn't get enough of the pool and hot tub.

On Tuesday we went to Bass Pro Shops in Springfield then spent a couple of hours visiting with Shelley and Greg. Wednseday was trout fishing at the Roaring River - we caught plenty of fish for dinner. Back at the resort, the kids went swimming with Maw and Paw Paw while Mike and I cooked steaks and trout on the grill. We spent all day Thursday at Silver Dollar City. Jesse was just barely tall enough to ride "Fire In the Hole" - their mildest roller coaster, and he is hooked!! He's still talking about it. Friday we played miniature golf then went to Predator World - Hunter got to feed the sharks and stingrays. Friday night we got to leave the kids with Carol Ann and Mike and I went out to eat at a fancy restaurant.....without having to worry about whether they had chicken nuggets on the menu.!! We met Jeff and Stephanie and Lauren for dinner, then went to do karaoke on our last night. We came home Saturday and spent most of our Sunday catching up on our sleep. The kids were wore out from a week of fun.
